I know this forum may be a little bit too young to start a thread in this section, but I thought this would be interesting. I discovered this crowdfunded game that's going to released on the 28th. Its art style is pretty pleasing, and some sequences actually remind me of AMA. The story is a bit similar too, with the main protagonist losing her parents and being stuck in the asylum. There seems to be an alternate dimension as well...     And here's the trailer: I don't know, I thought it was worth sharing. |

The animation's are pretty. The style is very similar to a more toned-down Ryden.

As much as this looks really similar to Alice concept-wise and even art-wise in some areas, I'd love to actually try this game out.

As much as this looks really similar to Alice concept-wise and even art-wise in some areas, I'd love to actually try this game out. But the Alice-esque bits themselves look like parts of the game that were inspired by Ryden's work, so I wouldn't credit Alice more than Ryden. |

So there's an alpha version of this game here. I downloaded it today and what can I say... from the technical point of view and art-wise it looks great! However, some parts may be a bit tricky. As for me... I'm not really good with puzzle games so I had to look up a walkthrough in some parts. It's a short demo, but worth actually trying out, as it costs you nothing of course, and can make you decide, whether you like the game or not at this point. And is it really that similar to Alice? When you're playing... it doesn't feel like it, for me at least. |
