Got the game for 15 bucks a few days ago, and I played it for a few hours, so I decided to share my first impressions. The game's main character (Fran) is not Alice. At all. Fran is basically a polite seven year old girl, and seeing horrible visions through the eyes of an innocent is definitely interesting. Her comments do feel like something a child would make, but it never feels foolish. You spend the first section trying to escape and find your cat. It's almost cutesy in that way, and the art style does feel a little cartoony at times when it's clearly trying to be disturbing. That being said, there are some really dark moments. One scenario features you collecting berries to keep Beetlepig (the giant Ant's "pet") distracted so you can slice it open with an axe. The art style is hand drawn and is very pretty, but resolutions are extremely low, and it can look really blurry at times, which is a shame. You can also talk to other characters and choose dialogue options, but these are almost always limited to two basic options: Tell me more. or I'm done talking to you.And the only way to progress is by picking the former choice, as characters can give you items that way. The main game mechanic focuses on you taking pills and alternating between the "real" world and the nether dimension. The problem is that there are very little differences between them at times. Some environments do get boring quick. The puzzles and minigames are fun, but some are outright nonsensical at times. In fact, they feel like the puzzles you'd see in the old Silent Hill games. Overall, I'm very pleased with Fran Bow. It isn't perfect and it feels like a mobile game at times, but I don't regret buying it, and I feel like AMA fans may find it interesting.

That both looks and seems awesome. Is this one of EA's games btw or is it another gaming-company? I might actually buy this myself.

You can tell it's a company called "Killmonday" from the trailer. To be honest, I'm eagerly waiting for the android version of Fran. I still have Windows XP, so no fun for me right now!

It's only on PC currently, but it will get mobile ports....eventually.

Good, then I can play the game. But wait, is this a cellphone game or a PC game? It's only on PC currently, but it will get mobile ports....eventually. Will the game work on Windows 8? I downloaded the demo version and played it all through. Now I'm crazy about the game but I can't find it one any Swedish online stores, so my only option is via Steam. But for that, my dad needs to both approve it and dare to try to buy it that way. How does it work? If I buy the game via Steam will I get a home-delivery of a physical copy of the game or is it going via Steam completely. Will Steam work on Windows 8. And how does the buying progress work on there? Please, I have very little knowledge about these things and I need to know cause I really want the game. Please, help! How does this all work and is it safe?

If you have questions about Steam, you can message me. Let's not make the thread off-topic.

And I'll message you now with the questions. I have so little knowledge of things like this.
