electrayou saw what happened when my friends and I (one of which who worked for him) got on him for trying to make Alice a social game, right? He got offended and blocked us and told us we were trolls, when we were just trying to help him understand that a) he'd be nothing without the fans. no fans=no one playing his stuff. and that because of US, Alice had success b) we're all OBSESSED with Alice. maybe even more so than HE is. And we KNOW what would/wouldn't be good for a game/story. c) we're allowed to be unhappy. we don't have to like/accept everything he dishes out just because it has alice on it he's not listening to anyone any time soon even one of the main forum admins who's spoke to American very often had said he's turned into a freaking airhead does that mean we hate him? no does that mean we will send him hate? no are we allowed to express our feelings on certain aspects of what he makes/his character? YES he talks all the time about censorship, and that's exactly what he does when people burst his bubble and sends him crashing back down to earth he doesn't want to deal with it

MMO Alice was basically the death of the series. He doesn't understand that creatively he's just not cut out for video game development.

You can also see from the spreadsheet that more money went to kickstarter than the development, animation and legal COMBINED. (But that's just from eyeing the pie chart). I mean of course most of the money is going to the film fee thing but my god American calm the fuck down with the backer rewards. That's just insane. Maybe he's trying to justify the money XD but I dunno. I kinda wish we were getting a game lol or at least a full length movie but he knows that just getting ANYTHING at this point is better than nothing and he's right I also wish that we would have gotten a game so we could have, at least, a real and hopeful backstory to Alice's sudden psychic and magical powers, as I've said many times. But then again, anything is indeed better than nothing. Even though I agree that McGee went a bit overboard with the backer rewards. And also, what about the people who never knew or never got the chance to even back the project etc?... Darn, that's just... wow!... I never knew he had gone that much overboard and all. But I remember that I also, sort of, got a taste on it when I questioned the story of Otherlands to him and wanted an answer and a backstory for the how, when and all Alice so suddenly got those psychic and magical powers etc. He, for some reason, refused to answer... :/

Yeah. He basically blocks, swears and gets too defensive when he is made fun of or receives any criticism. He also has dumb, fucked up views on video game feminism that he needs to stop sharing with the world. We get it, no one like Anita Sarkeesian (SP?), but making that character of her was fucking tasteless and stupid.
Women wanting to be respected and not sexualised is not censorship. It's the same as calling a black person the n word. It's not censorship, you're just being a massive cunt disrespecting the people who don't want you to do doing things like that towards their specific race/orientation/gender. Your skanky video game characters are nothing to do with censorship, American.

But what views does he exactly have on video game feminism? I've never heard or read what he exactly thinks and says about it all...

Every so often he'll comment on video game articles that he finds and post them on Facebook. In Chain of Darkness there is also an anti-Anita character. Not sure what it's called though.

It's based on feminist Anita Sarkeesian (SP?). I don't particularly like Anita, as do most people, but getting so hyped up about it is stupid.

You'll be able to find links and such on his FB page to articles with comments on them, but he always always ALWAYS calls it censorship. I'm not sure why. I really do think it's because he's lived in China so long that he doesn't understand that a lot of women don't like being portrayed how they are in video games and how it's not fair on them. I do recall him saying that it's freedom of expression to make slutty female characters and that it's censorship to say anything against that. He feels he has a right to make all of these horrid slutty designs that represent women badly or put them to bad standards. Of course, a lot of male characters in the video game industry are also needlessly high-standard-appearance-esque, but even so, not as much as women. American doesn't seem to understand that.

Damn, I never knew that he was actually like that. Is that why Alice's body changed from the first game to the second? The first game she looks more normal while in the second game she looks more deformed into a more femalized curves and forms, can't explain since my English ain't so good. But I mean, Alice's breasts looks a bit too big in the second game, especially since in the artbook they described that they didn't want to put too big breasts on Alice, but still kinda did it anyway. But you may be right, American might have gotten a bit... ummm... twisted into this, thanks to him living in China. I know that in China they don't have a very good view on women overall.

I don't feel Alice herself changed that much, her petite figure is what I assume to be related to her ill state. Her waist itself is thinner than her own head, which isn't healthy by any means. She also kind of looked a bit medium in terms of breast size. They definitely could have been larger if they wanted them to have been. I don't trust all of American's viewpoints. I don't feel a lot of them.

Her body looks more normal even tough it's meant to be ill and unhealthy.
